Firewater 10 - Appfire's Red Hot Atlassian Summit After-party

A look back at Firewater 09

In early 2009, Atlassian announced they would host their first ever worldwide Atlassian Summit event in San Francisco. Without hesitation, Appfire jumped into the mix as an early Gold Sponsor and immediately became a hard-core Summit advocate - encouraging our customers and counterparts in the Atlassian ecosystem to register and join in the fun and sense of community!

But our energy and excitement couldn't possibly stop there!

As anyone who knows anyone at Appfire will tell you: We work hard, and we play hard. So for the first Atlassian Summit, it made perfect sense that Appfire would host the hottest after-party for the hardest workers in Atlassian's ecosystem!

And so it was that Appfire's Firewater Party was born.

Firewater 09 was held last year on May 31st, the evening of the first day of Summit right after Atlassian's welcome reception. For a first year event the turnout for Firewater was fantastic with well over 100 guests packed into the posh Ambassador Suite of the San Francisco Palace Hotel. Hot music (all fire-themed of course), plenty of free beer (Sam Adams from Boston of course) and an amazing view of the city! It truly was an unforgettable event!

But we couldn't simply live in the past. Especially when we're so excited for the future and for Summit 2010!

Firewater 10 will be Hotter than Ever!

It's been a year since we last partied together - and clearly, we're due for a hot sequel!

So I'm proud to announce that it's officially official! Appfire will be hosting their 2nd Annual Firewater party at the 2010 Atlassian Summit. Here are the basics:

  • Date: Wednesday June 9th, 2010 (The 1st night of Summit)
  • Time: 8:30pm - 11:00pm (Right after the Atlassian Welcome Reception)
  • Location: Details are outlined on the official party pass.

And of course, we couldn't possibly come back to San Fran without bringing back a bit of Boston. Specifically some genuine Boston Lager by Samuel Adams! It's the firewater at Firewater!

Plus, there's bound to be a few surprises as well!

Great! So how do I get my Pass?

All you need to do is visit the Appfire booth (#15 in the Partner Pavilion) during the Atlassian Summit Welcome Reception (6:00pm to 8:00pm) for your pass ... but be sure to swing by early because passes are limited! With Summit registration through the roof this year, we likely won't be able to fit everyone, so grabbing your pass at the Appfire booth should be at the top of your list!

We've also decided to give 100 lucky Summit attendees a way to RSVP early and guarantee yourself a free pass to Firewater 10. Just follow these easy steps:

  1. Just Tweet or Re-Tweet the following full message from your personal Twitter account on or before Saturday June 5th:
    • I'll be at @Appfire's @FirewaterParty at #Atlassian Summit. It's gonna be Hot! #Firewater10 http://bit.ly/Firewater10 1st 100 RTs = RSVP!
  2. After tweeting the message above, Direct Message (DM) the @FirewaterParty twitter account with both your full name and email address (or email me your info at linsey [at] appfire [dot] com).
  3. For the 1st 100 lucky tweeters on or before June 5th, we'll save you a free pass to Firewater 10 at the Appfire booth. Just swing by and pick it up during the Atlassian Welcome Reception between 6pm and 8pm on June 9th.

Stay Tuned for More Details!
